Kamatics Corporation in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Sr. Aerospace Inspector to support our 2nd shift aerospace manufacturing operations.

This hands-on role performs first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of close-tolerance components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong CMM operation and programming skills, advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation, and proficiency with precision measurement tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of quality inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Strong CMM operation and programming experience.
• Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and experience with ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of precision mechanical components and assemblies to close tolerances.
• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections in support of production requirements.
• Independently interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements to determine appropriate inspection methods and equipment.
• Identify and document dimensional, surface, visual, material, workmanship, and documentation nonconformances.
• Create and maintain inspection documentation, including IMS, First Article Inspection (FAI), and other required quality records.
• Prepare products and documentation for customer and source inspections.
• Serve as a Designated Supplier Quality Representative when required.
