Job summary

Virginia Western Community College is seeking part‑time Precision Machining Instructors for the School of Career and Corporate Training. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of machining experience in a college or university setting.
• Proficiency with CNC and G-code programming; complete NIMS Level 1 credentials within the first year.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to write syllabi, exams, and develop learning strategies, curriculum, and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Teach and prepare technical instructional assignments in machining environments.
• Deliver curriculum on conventional machine tool operation, blueprint reading, precision measurement, machine setup, CNC lathes and mills, and CAD/CAM systems.
• Assist with instructor duties to support the program and the CCT department.
• May perform other duties or assist during governor‑declared emergencies.
