Job summary

Fort Bend County is seeking a maintenance worker to operate tractors, lawnmowers, weed-eaters and other equipment as needed. You will work with road crews and support mosquito spraying, concrete work, and machinery servicing to ensure operational efficiency.

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least six months of work experience and a valid Texas driver's license. Candidates should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to follow instructions and complete assignments

  • Valid Texas Driver's License.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact with coworkers and the public.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks on time.

Responsibilities

  • Operates tractors, lawnmowers, weed-eaters and other equipment as needed.
  • Works with road crews on County projects.
  • Participates in mosquito spraying programs.
  • Performs concrete work and services machinery for efficiency.
  • Sign for and is held financially accountable for issued equipment.
  • Participates in emergency management activities during local disasters as directed.
