Job summary

City of New York, NYPD Medical Division seeks a qualified Psychologist to act as POPPA Liaison. The selected candidate will work at least 20 hours per week, must work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and will evaluate POPPA cases and determine fitness for duty for members of the service.

Work closely with POPPA personnel coordinating services among NYPD staff, clinicians, and POPPA helpline users. Location: 1 Lefrak City, Flushing NY. Requires NY license and doctoral training in psychology.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice psychology in New York State.
• Doctoral degree in psychology with relevant specialty (clinical, counseling, school, forensic, health, or neuro-psychology).
• One year of supervised experience in psychology under a licensed professional.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate POPPA cases and determine fitness for duty.
• Coordinate with POPPA personnel, clinicians, and service members to arrange services.
• Serve as POPPA liaison within NYPD Medical Division and community networks.
