• Participate in ethics meetings, court hearings, and multidisciplinary rounds.
• Contribute to clinical care, documentation, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a part-time Psychiatrist - Consultation and Liaison to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. Opportunity Details

• The Department of Psychiatry has 3 Adult Inpatient Units, a satellite CPEP, a Psychiatry Consultation Liaison service, a Partial Hospital Program, an Outpatient Department, and an ACT team.
• The C/L service treats an extremely broad and fascinating spectrum of conditions, reflected by the very diverse ethnic and socioeconomic population that the medical center serves.
• The Consultation and Liaison Psychiatrist will have the responsibility for providing consultations referred by the medical, surgical, pediatric and obstetric services.
• Assess patient mental health status and diagnose disorders.
• Provide crisis intervention, as necessary.
• Document patient progress, develop and implement patient treatment plans.
• Responsible for teaching and supervision of psychologists, psychology interns, medical and PA students.
