Job summary

TeamHealth seeks a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Montgomery, AL to provide patient care in post-acute and long-term settings. The role offers clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling, and strong organizational support with onsite patient care and remote documentation.

The position is part-time (two days per week), with no night or weekend shifts. Candidates must hold an active Alabama PMHNP license (or Psych PA-C), DEA registration, and have at least six months of PMHNP or Psych

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Alabama PMHNP license or Psych PA-C.
• Active DEA registration or willingness to obtain.
• Minimum 6 months experience as PMHNP or Psych PA.
• Experience with older adults or post-acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments and mental status examinations.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings.
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management.
• Offer onsite patient care with remote documentation.
