BioLife Jacksonville is seeking a part-time donor screener who will perform phlebotomy and support plasma center operations. You will handle donor screening, vital signs, and ensure safety while providing quality customer service.

The role requires flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with shifts typically lasting 4 to 6 hours. Join a team dedicated to reliable donor care and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to stand for the entire work shift.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 32 lbs. and occasional lifting of 50 lbs.
• Glove use due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ years customer or patient-facing experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donors while ensuring safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes.
• Work a variety of shifts, Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.
