Job Description

This is a part‑time plasma donor screener and phlebotomist role. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and assist with donor screening, phlebotomy, and record keeping.

• Answer phone calls, greet donors, and ensure donor safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors, take and record vital signs and finger‑stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Qualifications and requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current license or certification: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1), 2 (CPT2), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
• Ability to walk/stand the entire shift and to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift up to 32 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Prolonged glove wear for approximately 90 % of tasks due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• At least one year of experience in a customer or patient‑facing role.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
