This role is truly part-time, with shifts lasting 4 to 6 hours per day, three or more days per week. The schedule is designed to fit your life.

Responsibilities

• Collect high‑quality plasma by performing phlebotomy and donor screening.
• Answer phones, greet donors, and ensure the safety of donors and the team.
• Screen new and repeat donors; take and record vital signs and finger‑stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes using approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.
• Show reliability during scheduled hours and help maintain schedule integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current, active certification or license: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1), CPT2, Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift; lift up to 32 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Fine‑motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• At least one year of customer or patient–facing experience (helpful).
• Experience with bloodborne pathogen risk level 1 and prolonged glove wear (90% tasks).

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage starting at $19.00 (subject to local minimum wage).
