Job summary

BioLife is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist in Rochester, NY to support plasma center operations. You will greet donors, perform venipuncture, and monitor donors throughout the donation process. Shift flexibility and strong customer service are essential.

The role offers hands-on training and exposure to plasma collection workflows, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement within the center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to walk or stand for the entire shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays work is required.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens with glove use expected.
• 1+ years in customer or patient-facing roles is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors on entry and exit of the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
• Record donor data in the DIS system.
• Coordinate donor flow and compensation using the Debit Card system.
• Support center management with process improvements.
