Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music preferred, or extensive experience teaching music.
• A minimum of two years' music experience working with children/adults.
• Performance experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in music theory and in a primary instrument.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead music and arts programs within the corps as assigned and plan weekly lesson curricula.
• Plan and attend recitals and prepare corps music programs for year-end concert participation.
• Encourage participants to develop musical abilities, self-esteem, and school/program pride.
• Organize musical performances and community activities to promote the mission.
• Support summer camps and plan camper participation in music programs.
• All other duties as assigned.
