Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Music Program Leader to work with children and adults within the corps and community. You will design and implement theory, performance skills, and values-based music education, and plan weekly lessons.

You will coordinate recitals, prepare students for year-end concert, organize performances to raise public awareness of the corps mission, and encourage campers to grow musically and spiritually. Strong leadership and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in music or extensive teaching experience.
• Experience: 2+ years teaching music with children/adults; performance preferred.
• Certifications/Licenses: None.

Responsibilities

• Lead music and arts programs; plan weekly music lessons and curriculum.
• Plan and attend recitals; prep corps music programs for year-end concert.
• Encourage participants to develop musical skills and self-esteem.
• Organize performances to raise public understanding of the corps mission.
• Support participation in summer camps and related planning.
• All other duties as assigned.
