Dormont Manufacturing Co is seeking a Professional Physics Tutor for the Chaiken Center for Student Success at Penn State Abington. The ideal candidate will provide individual tutoring to undergraduate students, develop physics workshops, and collaborate with faculty to promote academic success. A Master’s degree in Physics and experience in tutoring are preferred.
The starting rate for this position is $25/hour, and it includes interaction with diverse student populations and the potential for evening and weekend hours.
Penn State Abington seeks an engaging and dynamic candidate to fill a newly created opening for a Professional Physics Tutor. This role will work in the Chaiken Center for Student Success to provide tutoring in Physics to undergraduate university students. The tutor will also develop workshops, structured academic initiatives, and other collaborative opportunities that engage faculty, student organizations, and other members of the campus community. The Professional Tutor will interact with faculty and staff to promote the services of the Chaiken Center and to ensure that tutoring services align with the course objectives. The Professional Tutor will be responsible for maintaining a record for each student tutored, e.g., Starfish Outcome Notes, Client Report Forms, Satisfaction Surveys, and other assessment measures.
The starting rate for this job is $25/hour.
