Job summary

IHA is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to support the physical therapy team in delivering patient-centered care. You will help develop and execute treatment plans under the physician’s order and collaborate with the PT to adjust plans based on patient response.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, communicating with patients and staff, and assisting with discharge planning while maintaining strict confidentiality and professional ethics.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an institution accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association and awarded an associate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Must hold current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Michigan.
• Proven ability to apply anatomy, physiology, and mechanics to therapy and position patients appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and executing patient treatment plans.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response with PT consultation.
• Document patient care clearly for clinical and billing purposes and maintain confidentiality.
