Job summary

MercyOne Genesis seeks a Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our care team in the Davenport area. Work 20 hours per week with a day shift, supporting inpatient, outpatient, and home health services as needed.

You will provide treatment under state guidelines, assist the supervising therapist with reassessments, and maintain timely documentation. BLS certification within 6 months and Iowa PTA license required.

Qualifications

• 2 year college program or equivalent experience.
• Iowa Physical Therapist Assistant license - if licensed in another state, must obtain licensure within 1 year.
• No experience required.
• Basic Life Support within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment to patients within Genesis Health System in a caring, professional and efficient manner - settings may include inpatient, out-patient, long term, home healthcare and /or outreach services.
• Provide treatment independently according to State practice guidelines.
• Be responsible for assisting the therapist in reassessment.
• Complete necessary documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Supervise clinical interns in an effective and professional manner with the guidance and assistance of the supervising physical therapist.
