Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Salem, MA is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to support a subset of the phlebotomy team. Monday-Friday with 40 hours, 7:30am-4:00pm with flexibility based on staffing. The role focuses on safe patient care, adherence to standards, and efficient specimen collection.

You will supervise phlebotomists and students, assist with difficult draws, and help implement schedule changes. Requires high school diploma and phlebotomy certification; 3–5 years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree is not required.
• Phlebotomy Technician certification is required.
• 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily activities of phlebotomists and students with focus on safe patient care.
• Coordinates workflow to ensure timely specimen collection and staff coverage.
• Performs and assists with difficult draws, research kits, and special procedures.
• Signs off on training and annual competency documentation; supports scheduling changes.
