Job summary

BioLife is seeking a part-time plasma donor screener and phlebotomy support professional in Towson, MD. The role features 4 to 6 hour shifts, 3+ days per week, with flexibility to fit your life. You will greet donors, screen them, and ensure safety during visits.

You will use the Donor Information System, maintain donor charts, and coordinate donor compensation. Training is provided through a paid program, with weekend and holiday shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays required.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Glove use for most tasks due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ years minimum experience working in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet and focus on our donors, while ensuring the safety of donors and our team.
• Screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use our Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company approved procedures.
• There will be a variety of shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.
