Job summary

You will greet donors, perform venipuncture, monitor during donation, operate plasmapheresis equipment, and record donor data in the DIS. The role emphasizes reliability, customer service, and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Lift 5 lbs and occasionally up to 32–50 lbs.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens with glove wear for many tasks.
• 1+ year in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during donation and manage donor reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment per training.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and assist with disposal.
• Record donor vitals and enter data into the Donor Information System (DIS).
• Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying operational improvements per approved procedures.
