Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, LP in Mount Juliet, TN is hiring a part-time phlebotomist to support plasma collection operations. You will greet donors, perform venipuncture, monitor during donation, and handle plasmapheresis equipment setup and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Lift up to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1); 90% of tasks require glove wear.
• 1+ year of customer or patient-facing experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture of donors and programming of plasmapheresis machine.
• Monitor donors during the donation process and manage donor reactions.
• Setup, verification, operation, and troubleshooting of plasmapheresis equipment within scope of training.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies, break down empty cartons and assist with proper disposal.
• Take and record donor vital signs and enter data into the Donor Information System (DIS).
• Perform finger sticks, record hematocrit, total protein, and weight.
• Enter donor information into the DIS.
• Coordinate donors to donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying operational opportunities using 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen.
