Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomist to support a medical facility in Virginia Beach, VA. This 3-month contract offers extension potential and a chance to work with a premier healthcare organization.

Shift is 7am-11am, Monday to Friday, with pay rate $22-24 per hour on a W2 basis. Responsibilities include safe blood collection, labeling, and coordination with lab processes while maintaining patient trust.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience working as a Phlebotomist.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labelled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct. Maintains required records and documentation.
• Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.
