Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join our team at a client site in Lake in the Hills. The role requires venipuncture skills, patient-focused service, and accurate data entry across laboratory systems.

Typical hours are 32 per week, Monday–Thursday 7:30am–1pm and Friday 7:30am–6pm with Saturday rotation. This position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification (or CMA/phlebotomy experience) preferred.
• Must be able to work Monday-Thursday 7:30am-1pm and Friday 7:30am-6pm with Saturday rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and blood specimen collection per age-related standards and policies.
• Adhere to AIDET patient communication model and ensure patient safety.
• Enter orders and verify test results in multiple systems; manage patient information and clerical duties.
• Process specimens promptly to maintain sample integrity and proper labeling.
• Maintain accurate records of temperatures, QC/QA and communication with staff.
