Job summary

Hy-Vee in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team. This part-time role supports pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions and delivering friendly, accurate service to customers.

You will enter patient and prescription data, assist with insurance claims, maintain pharmacy cleanliness, stock and label supplies, and help with vaccinations when permitted by law. Strong customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working toward a licensed technician certification is preferred.
• Experience as a pharmacy clerk is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service.
• Assists pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing.
• Enters prescription and patient information into the computer.
• Assists with insurance billing and processing of claims.
• Maintains cleanliness of pharmacy and dispensing area.
• Administers vaccines as allowed by law.
