Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, a part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Part Time Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health and specialty pharmacy in Chicago. You will dispense prescriptions and perform clerical duties under the supervision of a pharmacist.

The role requires active IL licensure, strong customer service, and attention to detail. 20 hours per week with potential increase as needed. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm CST.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license must be unrestricted.
• Access to reliable transportation is required.
• Preferred: PTCB Certification.
• Preferred: 2+ years of pharmacy experience.
• Preferred: 1+ years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data to maintain inventory records.
• Assists pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensures compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Performs various clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
• Other duties as assigned.
