Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to dispense prescriptions and perform clerical duties under a pharmacist's supervision in Chicago. You will manage inventory, process orders, and assist with compliance while delivering strong customer service in a busy setting.

The position requires an active Illinois license, NP Tech Certification, and reliable transportation; schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm CST, onsite at 1400 W Greenleaf Ave, Chicago.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
