Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Part Time Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy in Punta Gorda, FL. You will dispense prescriptions and perform clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Hours are 32 hours weekly with potential to flex to 40 hours. Location: 1700 Education Ave., Building A, Suite P, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacy Technician license.
Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license.
Preferred: National Pharmacy Technician Certification.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to clinic staff and patients.
Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under the supervision of the Registered Pharmacist.
Order, receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
Receive and process wholesalers' medication orders.
Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records.
Assist pharmacist in pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
Perform clerical duties related to the department.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Other duties as assigned.
