Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PET/CT Technologist for our Leonardtown, MD facility in a part-time role. You will ensure patient safety, obtain high-quality PET/CT images, and communicate clearly with patients and radiologists.

The position requires nuclear medicine certification and state licensure as applicable, with flexibility to work at multiple locations. Strong customer service, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB or ARRT-N) required.
• State license as required and CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license may be required and willingness to work at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and radiation safety as part of procedures.
• Produce high quality PET/CT images for diagnostic purposes.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Assist and train other technologists as needed.
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment.
