Job summary

Akumin in the United States seeks a PET-CT Technologist for Arizona facilities (part-time). You will perform PET-CT imaging with emphasis on patient safety, quality images, and efficient workflow across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include pre-screening, radiation safety, supporting radiologists, and training other technologists. Requirements include NMTCB/ARRT(N),State license, CPR, HS diploma, and ability to work at several locations. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• As applicable, valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety: pre-screening, aseptic technique, radiation safety, documentation.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic PET-CT images.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or PC's.
• Troubleshoot the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils).
