Job summary

Akumin Inc. is seeking a PET/CT Technologist for our Leonardtown, MD facility. This part-time role focuses on patient safety, quality imaging, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating PET/CT equipment, and ensuring image quality for accurate diagnosis. Prior nuclear medicine experience and current certifications are preferred. Join a team dedicated to excellent outpatient imaging services.

Qualifications

• Certification in Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB or ARRT(N)).
• CPR certification and state license as required.
• 1-2 years Nuclear Medicine or PET/CT experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and radiation safety procedures.
• Produce high quality PET/CT images under physician orders.
• Explain procedures and comfort patients throughout.
• Train new technologists and troubleshoot equipment.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

NMTCB/ARRT(N) Nuclear Medicine Certification

CPR Certification

State license (as applicable)

1-2 years Nuclear Medicine experience

Strong customer service skills

Ability to work at multiple locations
