Job summary

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation’s Pediatric Unit is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient team. The role involves 20 hours per week, primarily Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during daytime hours.

The NP will function as an intensivist to manage stays from admission to transfer, while supporting the mission and expanding service hours. Ideal candidates hold a Master's in Nursing, NP certification, and 1–2 years of critical care experience, with a focus on pediatric

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required.
• Graduate of an accredited NP program required.
• Certification as Nurse Practitioner required.
• 1–2 years of critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds on assigned inpatients to assess status and plan care.
• Prescribe and implement treatment plans with physician collaboration.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed for care decisions.
• Develop and adjust care plans in coordination with care teams.
• Coordinate transitions to aftercare with families and providers.
• Provide family-centered communication regarding health needs.
• Participate in on-call coverage for inpatient/outpatient needs.
• Maintain CRNP license and keep knowledge up to date.
