Job summary

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the inpatient pediatric unit on a part-time schedule (20 hours/week, Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays). The position is daytime, with hours varying.

The NP will conduct daily rounds, assess patients, order tests, develop care plans, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to support high-quality pediatric rehabilitation. Qualifications include a Master’s in Nursing, graduation from an accredited NP program, NP

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing required.
• Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program required.
• Certification as Nurse Practitioner required.
• 1-2 years of Critical Care experience required.
• 1-2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds on assigned inpatients to assess patient status and plan care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and document results.
• Develop and implement care plans with the treatment team.
• Coordinate patient transitions and aftercare with families and physicians.
• Provide family-centered care and participate in education of staff and patients.
