Job summary

FirstCash Pawn is seeking entry-level, part-time Retail Sales Associate in Weslaco, Texas. You will greet customers, process sales and loans, and help with merchandise across jewelry, tools, electronics, and more.

This role offers $10.75 to $13.00 per hour plus an commission structure rewarding productivity, with earned wage access and benefits multiple perks starting on day one. Flexible weekends and store hours apply.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport to better provide and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains the display of merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards
• Effectively communicates to customers the legal aspects of the pawn and buy transactions.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes the assigned training.
• Other related duties, as assigned.
