Job summary

Outagamie County Sheriff's Department is seeking Part Time Patrol Officers to provide security at the Appleton International Airport, the courts, and Outagamie County Administration Building. The PT officers may also transport inmates between the jail and other facilities.

Under general supervision, officers perform enforcement, conduct detailed incident reports, testify in court, serve warrants, and handle public safety duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 60 post high school credits.
• Law enforcement experience preferred; retired or certifiable officers encouraged.
• Valid Wisconsin drivers license.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be able to possess a firearm.
• Post-hire testing may include agility, psychological, or fitness assessments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents at the Appleton International Airport, Courts, and Outagamie County Administration Building.
• Provide security for assigned areas and maintain awareness of surroundings.
• Transport inmates between jail and other facilities.
• Disperse public concerns at gatherings.
• Prepare detailed arrest and investigation reports.
• Appear in court and provide clear testimony.
• Deliver and serve warrants; transport individuals to court or jail.
• Maintain regular attendance and be prepared to work overtime as needed.
