Job summary

Outagamie County is hiring a Full Time Patrol Officer to patrol assigned areas on foot or in a patrol car, enforce laws, control traffic, and arrest violators.

Minimum education includes high school diploma or GED and 60 post high school credits; valid Wisconsin driver’s license; U.S. citizenship; and legal ability to possess a firearm. Post-hire testing includes agility, psychology and medical evaluations as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from high school or GED.
• 60 post high school credits.
• Experience in law enforcement desired.
• Or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid Wisconsin's driver's license required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be legally able to possess a firearm
• Post hire requirements include successful completion of physical agility test; psychological test, post-offer physical evaluation and/or other tests to aid in determining fitness for employment.
