Job summary

UPMC in Bethel Park is seeking a Part-Time Patient Services Representative to join the Urology team. This role works Mondays and Thursdays from 7am to 5pm with no evenings or weekends, and includes patient check-in/out, appointment scheduling, and copay collection.

Responsibilities include guiding patients through self-check-in, promoting the MyUPMC portal, guiding biometrics enrollment, and providing HIPAA-compliant support. Prior health records system experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in medical/billing/customer service preferred.
• Typing skills and PC proficiency preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with Epic or Medipac or other health records systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in/out.
• Guide patients through self-arrival technology or desk check-in.
• Collect copayments and other payments at the point of service.
• Verify and update patient registration and insurance details.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with scheduling ancillary services.
• Redirect calls to appropriate departments and help patients navigate the portal.
