• Obtains demographic and insurance information; verifies eligibility.
• Registers new patients and prepares charts.
• Schedules new patients in the system per physician/officina guidelines.
• Cancels/reschedules appointments; notifies clinic staff.
• Enters authorizations and referrals into charts and system.
• Acts as receptionist; answers calls and directs visitors.
• Ensures billing data is submitted to hospital charges/vendors.
