Akumin Inc. is seeking a Part-time Patient Coordinator for our Boca Raton facility, Mon–Fri 10:30a–5pm. The role delivers patient care and customer service, ensuring smooth check‑in, accurate registration, and clear communication about appointments.

You will handle scheduling, insurance verification, and post‑visit instructions, maintain organized patient records, and support clinical staff. The position requires a high school diploma, CPR certification before hire, valid driver’s license if

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire for Mobile Radiology/Oncology.
• CPR certification is a plus for Fixed Radiology.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to work at several locations and travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Performs patient registration in various systems.
• Answers phone calls professionally and courteously.
• May collect monies for time‑of‑service patient responsibility.
• Verifies insurance coverage and obtains prior authorization.
• Prepares patient records and ensures accurate documentation of visits.
