Job summary

Akumin is a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services. We are hiring a part-time Patient Coordinator for our Boca Raton facility, Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This role supports patient care and a positive experience through registration, scheduling, and front-desk tasks. Responsibilities include greeting patients, performing registrations in systems, verifying insurance, collecting time-of-service payments, scheduling appointments, and ensuring

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
CPR certification may be required for mobile radiology roles.
Valid state drivers license may be required.
Ability to work at several locations and travel between sites.
Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
Perform patient registration in various systems.
Answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
May collect time-of-service payments and verify insurance.
Schedule patient appointments and obtain insurance verification/authorization.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient visits in electronic systems and paper records.
Ensure HIPAA compliance in all duties.
