Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is hiring for a part-time patient care role. You will provide essential nursing support under RN supervision, including vital signs, hygiene, mobility, and documentation. The position emphasizes compassionate, team-based care and strong communication with patients, families, and staff.

The schedule is 24 hours per week, with evenings 5pm–11:30pm and every other weekend/holiday. BLS is preferred; nursing students in their first clinical rotation may qualify.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Part-Time role: 24 scheduled weekly hours.
• Evening shift: 5pm–11:30pm, every other weekend/holiday.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred; nursing student with first clinical rotation complete may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care incl. vital signs, hygiene, mobility.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse and report changes.
• Deliver high level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly.
• Communicate clearly with the healthcare team at all times.
