Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison, WI is seeking a Part Time Patient Access Representative to help schedule procedures and register patients. This role requires friendly, professional communication and basic computer skills; experience with EHR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with EHR and patient registration preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information from patient and enters into appropriate database.
• Schedules patient procedures in a way that efficiently utilizes the patient's time and clinical resources; coordinates and communicates schedules.
• Assists with coordination of activities related to insurance pre-certification/authorization.
• Provides counseling to patient, participant or their representative regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
• Performs clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
