Job summary

Optum is seeking a Part Time Patient Access Representative to greet patients, collect demographics and insurance details, verify coverage, and process payments in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role includes new-hire orientation and ongoing training at the Chandler, AZ location.

Responsibilities include pre-certification processing, price estimates, and accurate data entry to support ED registration. This part-time position offers benefits and growth opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1+ year of customer service experience in hospital/office/phone support.
• Ability to work Sunday–Wednesday from 7:00am–5:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Register patients by collecting demographics and insurance information.
• Verify eligibility and benefits in real time using computer systems.
• Collect co-pays and discuss financial obligations with patients.
• Assist with pre-certifications and referrals per plan requirements.
• Provide compassionate, professional patient support in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain knowledge of ED registration requirements.
