Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Patient Registration Clerk in Chandler, AZ to support ED registration and front-office duties in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will greet patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and help with co-pays and payments.

The role requires strong customer service skills, ability to navigate healthcare systems, and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Training and day shifts are provided; the position is on-site at 1955 W. Frye Rd, Chandler.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience in hospital, office, or phone support.
• Ability to work Sunday–Wednesday from 7:00am–5:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and collects demographics, health information and verifies insurance.
• Uses computer systems to enter or verify patient data in real-time.
• Obtains referrals, pre-certifications, pre-determinations and pre-authorizations as required by plan.
• Verifies coverage and creates price estimates; collects patient co-pays and outstanding balances.
• Addresses patient inquiries with empathy and accuracy.
• Maintains knowledge of ED registration requirements.
