Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately to create accounts and medical record numbers.
• Verifies insurance coverage and collects co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses.
• Completes insurance verifications and pre-certifications/authorizations for assigned accounts.
• Coordinates with patients, staff, providers, and external agencies to ensure timely registration.
• Educates patients about plan benefits and deposits toward deductible/coinsurance as needed.
• Maintains positive patient relations and ensures HIPAA privacy practices.
• Assists in bed assignments and monitors registration process quality and efficiency.
