Qualifications

Minimum 2 years in patient access, pre-registration, or revenue cycle operations.

Responsibilities

Pre-registration for scheduled services with complete and accurate data.
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility prior to services.
Ensure demographics and insurance information are up to date.
Generate cost estimates based on payer contracts and coverage.
Communicate with patients about financial obligations including co-pays and deductibles.
Secure pre-service payments or set up payment arrangements.
Provide clear financial counseling and address questions from patients.
Maintain records in EHR (Epic) and patient accounting systems; HIPAA compliance.
Participate in audits and quality improvements as needed.
