Job summary

The Town of Natick seeks a part-time Parking Enforcement Officer to patrol areas, enforce local parking rules, and promote compliant, courteous behavior to keep streets safe and accessible. The role emphasizes consistent, fair enforcement to support town operations.

This position is up to 30 hours per week with Saturdays required. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with a full range up to $34.50. A valid MA driver’s license and CORI/background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts driver's license is required.
• Ability to walk long distances daily and pass a physical examination.
• Must pass CORI check and background investigation.
• Ability to explain parking regulations clearly to the public.
• Strong judgment, discretion and courteous demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle to monitor parking regulations.
• Issue citations and warnings using a handheld device.
• Maintain records of issued violations, electronic and manual.
• Communicate with Police Department via two-way radio or cell phone.
• Respond to dispatch calls regarding parking concerns and violations.
