Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Martinez, CA seeks a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences, helping them develop communication, social, and life skills in a safe, supportive classroom. Hours are in-person, Monday to Friday 8:30 AM–3:00 PM (with current availability 10:00 AM–2:00 PM).

Qualifications

• RBT certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Immunizations including MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hep B, and TB clearance.

About the Role:

• Hours: In-person, Monday to Friday between 8:30AM to 3:00PM.
  • Current Available Hours Monday to Friday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.
• Pay: $22-$28/HR (based on experience, certification, and education).
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required or willingness to become certified within 90 days (paid training included!).

As a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional, you'll provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You'll help students develop communication, social, and life skills while fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.
