Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Martinez, CA is seeking a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support for students with autism and developmental differences. You will work within a supportive classroom to help students develop communication, social, and life skills.

Hours are in-person, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 3:00PM, with minimum availability 10:00AM to 2:00PM. Prioritize safety, data collection, and collaboration with BCBA supervision.

Qualifications

• RBT certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s in related field preferred
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• Required immunizations including MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hep B, and TB clearance within 4 years

Responsibilities

About The Role

• Hours: In-person, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 3:00PM.
• Minimum Availability: Monday to Friday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.
• Pay: $22–$28/HR (based on experience, certification, and education).
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required or willingness to become certified within 90 days (paid training included!).

As a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You’ll help students develop communication, social, and life skills while fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.
