Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Concord, CA is seeking a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and related developmental differences. You will implement individualized programs, collect progress data, and foster communication, social, and life skills in a supervised classroom.

The role is in-person, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM–3:00PM, with a minimum availability 10:00AM–2:00PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s in related field preferred.
• RBT certification required or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

About The Role

• Hours: In-person, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 3:00PM.
• Minimum Availability: Monday to Friday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.
• Pay: $22–$28/HR (based on experience, certification, and education).
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required or willingness to become certified within 90 days (paid training included!).

As a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You’ll help students develop communication, social, and life skills while fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
• RBT certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days).
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in related field preferred).
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Required immunizations including MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hep B, and TB clearance (within 4 years)).
