Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Martinez, CA is seeking a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. This in-person role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with minimum availability 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and pays $22–$28 per hour depending on experience and education.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in related field preferred) and RBT

Qualifications

• RBT certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
• Immunizations up to date as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behavioral and educational support in a school setting.

About the Role:

• Hours: In-person, Monday to Friday between 8:30AM to 3:00PM.
  • Minimum Availability: Monday to Friday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.
• Pay: $22–$28/HR (based on experience, certification, and education).
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required or willingness to become certified within 90 days (paid training included!).

As a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional, you’ll provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You’ll help students develop communication, social, and life skills while fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.
