Job summary

NNHS - ER at North Valleys in Reno, NV is seeking a part-time Paramedic to provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a RN or physician in a fast-paced ED. The role emphasizes bedside and room-side duties, triage support, and patient-family interaction to ensure timely, compassionate care.

You will assist with daily living activities, clinical tasks, and procedural support while maintaining flexibility in scheduling.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada EMT-P Certification.
• Current BLS.
• Advanced cardiac rhythm competency within 6 months of hire.
• Healthstream course AACN: Essentials of ECG & Dysrhythmia Monitoring within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes bedside shift reports and shares care team contact details at each shift.
• Provides supportive ED care under RN or physician supervision and performs approved procedures.
• Addresses psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and families.
• Assists with crutch walking, wound care, dressing changes, and splint/cast application as needed.
