Job summary

Excelsior Ambulance Service, Inc. is seeking a Part Time Paramedic in Augusta, GA to provide emergency medical care under Division Manager guidance. You will lead scenes, operate defibrillators and monitors, and coordinate with healthcare and public safety teams.

The role requires Paramedic licensure, a valid driver’s license, and BLS/PALS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic credentials. Strong physical fitness and agility are essential for day-to-day field operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• State Paramedic License.
• State Driver's License.
• BLS, PALS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic (SC & AL).
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction devices, and IV fluids for advanced care.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance of care.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on emergency responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
